WebOS: Its Future is Closer to Portable Mobiles

WebOSWhen HP took over the control of Palm everyone was clear that the main reason was webOS, the most valued asset of the company.

Following this acquisition have continued many rumors and comments on HP’s plans for his newly purchased company and, above all, the future operating system webOS. Well, now it seems is that HP wants to use this platform originally designed to run on smartphones in other gadgets such as laptops. This does not look bad idea.

These rumors are based on the agreement that HP has closed with Phoenix Technologies, specialists in the BIOS program, to acquire the rights of Hyperspace, another Linux-based platform used as a complement to other operating system. And that’s where webOS come into play.

We’ll see how this story is but I think that HP thinks more notebooks than smartphones

MSI Media Player MT-V866The company called MSI this week presented a new fully portable multimedia player that we like these, because they combine a good design (or outward appearance, according to taste), with acceptably good technical performance.

In particular, this new gadget has been baptized with the technical name of MT-V866, and have to start a screen of 4.3 “widescreen, which is welcome, for example, when playing videos or viewing photos.

It has an internal memory that reaches 8GB storage capacity, and between file formats that can play, stands out: VI, FLV, RM, RMVB, MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, FLAC, APE, JPEG, BMP and GIF.
