The new Olympus E-5, aimed at professional users and amateur photographers, has a magnesium alloy body that makes it resistant to dust and splashing.
The camera is equipped with a Live MOS sensor, 12.3 megapixels and an image processor TruePic V. Provides optical image stabilization and dust reduction system for high power.
Among other characteristics of the Olympus E-5 has a HyperCrystal LCD screen 3-inch VGA (640 × 480 pixels) with double-shift system axis and more flexible Live View. The optical viewfinder provides a 100 percent coverage, memory card slot for CompactFlash and Secure Digital, and HDMI output.
The Olympus E-5 is able to record HD video at 720p with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 30 frames per second, capturing images at burst speed of 5 fps, and autofocus for 11 points.
The new Olympus E-5 will be available in late October 2010 at a price of $ 1,700.
