Sharp will use the IFA to show 3D without glasses technology in portable device screens, maybe you do not talk to again because of the choice made by Nintendo for their next handset.

To make the show more interesting to the public, Sharp has developed a prototype mobile phone that may be based on final model are scheduled for later this year.

To make the experience more complete 3D has added a pair of cameras at the back of the terminal, which also has the added Nintendo 3DS, to take three-dimensional snapshots, so dare not know if the video as the Fujifilm Real 3D W3.

Finally, the HDMI video output also has a version (“1.4?). It’s prepared to support the flow necessary to display 3D images on the screen outside.

Actual results are not all the ideals we might think, since the samples taken at the show are the videos in low light, where the mobile cameras suffer not to fill the noise content, but the reality is that the whole system work.

Giving out a Parallax Barrier technology

The screen technology used to dispense glasses is known as Parallax Barrier, which we were able to describe for a few weeks ago to compare the option with the lenticular Sharp DoCoMo. An interesting feature is that the 3D effect is switched off.

Panels are being developed ranging from 3 inches, suitable for a mobile phone, to 10 inches, more interesting for a possible 3D tablet. Specifically at the fair is a 3.8 inches for the phone with 800 × 480 pixels resolution in 2D mode (400 × 480 in 3D), and 10.6 inches.
