WebOS: Its Future is Closer to Portable Mobiles

WebOSWhen HP took over the control of Palm everyone was clear that the main reason was webOS, the most valued asset of the company.

Following this acquisition have continued many rumors and comments on HP’s plans for his newly purchased company and, above all, the future operating system webOS. Well, now it seems is that HP wants to use this platform originally designed to run on smartphones in other gadgets such as laptops. This does not look bad idea.

These rumors are based on the agreement that HP has closed with Phoenix Technologies, specialists in the BIOS program, to acquire the rights of Hyperspace, another Linux-based platform used as a complement to other operating system. And that’s where webOS come into play.

We’ll see how this story is but I think that HP thinks more notebooks than smartphones

Wave 2 Pro Samsung S5330This Wave 2 Pro, and other successors of the original Wave Samsung announced yesterday, has touch screen 3.2-inch WQVGA-no, not Super AMOLED-EDGE connectivity (no 3G), WiFi b/g/n, AGPS, Bluetooth 2.1, 3 megapixel camera, FM radio, headphone output 3.5 mm, 80 MB of internal memory and microSD card slot.

As you can see by their specifications, this terminal and the Wave 2, respond more to the desire for Samsung to popularize its platform with the cheapest smartphones initial idea reserved for higher-end terminals.

Like his brother, Social network application incorporates the South Korean manufacturer that integrates contacts, social networks (comes with Facebook and Twitter) and email.

The Samsung Wave 2 Pro coming in August in Russia and Southeast Asia in black, white and pink.
